Personal, Social and Health Education at St Mary's Primary School

PSHE is a vital part of what we do at St. Mary's and it enables our children to become independent, confident, healthy and responsible members of society. Through the teaching of keys areas we aim to support our children's development intellectually, morally, socially and spiritually.  Our PSHE curriculum equips children with relevant and meaningful content, which is supported through a strong emphasis on emotional literacy, building resilience and nurturing mental and physical health. We aim to support our children in playing a positive role in contributing to the school and the wider community.

Relationships and Sex Education

Relationships and Sex Education forms an important part of our PSHE curriculum because it empowers young people to communicate effectively and helps to keep them safe.  Relationships Education is a statutory part of the primary curriculum.
